I was raised in church my whole life by God fearing, loving, and very supportive parents. I learned who Jesus was at an early age and have spent my 20 years of life getting to know Him, His love, and just how much grace and mercy He really does have.
I live in a good sized town in Northern California with my parents, big-little brother (he is a giant!), and two dogs that I adore. For fun I enjoy reading, doodling, going on drives with no destination and spending time with my friends.
I have had a passion for kids since I was about 11 or 12 years old. I worked in my church nursery for 8 years, taught children’s church for a summer, and now I am a full time nanny and part time help at a daycare! I always wondered what it was about kids that I love so much and as I get older, it becomes more clear. They are free and I want that freedom. They can wear silly clothes and dance funky or say hello to complete strangers and never give it a second thought. They are happy with a sheet of stickers or a cardboard box! They have the freedom that I want, but that I allow society to corrupt.
I have visited the Philippines twice and it was the most amazing, unforgettable experience of my life! Had I not been on those trips, I probably would not be preparing for this trip now. While in the Philippines, God birthed a fire inside my heart for the lost, not only in my country, but in countries around the world! It is a wonderful feeling to know I am called to something so much greater than I could have ever imagined for myself.
Thanking you for being a part of my journey!
