This month while in Serbia my team of 6 fabulous girls will be looking for Unsung Hero’s all over southern Serbia.  An Unsung Hero is a person or a group of people who are working for the kingdom by serving those in underprivilege populations. These people pour their heart and soul into their ministry by loving the people in their very backyards.  Our job this month is to search them out! We have done a lot of internet searching and came across a YWAM (Youth With a Mission) base in Uzice Serbia! Some emails were exchanged, and just like that we had a meeting set up!

After an afternoon of travel from Visegrad Bosnia to Uzice Serbia we meet up with our new YWAM friends at their café! Andrew, Chris and their wives have an amazing ministry through their café.  They often host YWAM teams and set up events at the café, and in the city to minister to people.  The town of Uzice is Orthodox and Muslim.  There are only a handful of Christians which makes Andrew and Chris’s task daunting, but anything is possible with God.

We spent a few days in Uzice and got to hang out with the YWAM outreach team that was staying at the base.  They are an energetic group of 18 and 19 year old’s on fire for the Lord! They held and art night at the café as well as many other outreach programs throughout their time in Uzice. It’s been a blast to get to be a part of their ministry for a short time.  The vision of YWAM is to teach young people to be disciples and then to make disciples, which is a cool thing to be a part of! I have been blessed with the opportunity to work with 2 stellar YWAM bases so far on my World Race journey and both times have been such a blessing and a learning experience.  It’s been an adventure so far traveling around Serbia meeting and hanging out with so many different people.  It’s amazing the connections you can make with people just by starting a conversation.  Serbia is beautiful and so are its people!

More updates to come soon about our time in Europe! Thanks to all my supporters for your prayers!
