I. Am. At. Launch. So. Crazy.
My parents and I arrived yesterday in Washington D.C. for launch. My parents were able to come for a few days to attend the parent sessions at launch and get a taste of what I will be doing. We had lunch together today and then said goodbye to each other. I'm so happy they were able to come.
My squad and I are in D.C. til Friday doing our final days of training. On Friday we are flying out of D.C. at 3:30. I heard our plane lands in Quito, Ecuador around midnight but I'm not sure how accurate that is. My phone is being shut off on Thursday night so I will no longer be able to receive calls or texts on it. However, I have downloaded an app on my ipod that allows me to receive calls and texts when I'm connected to wifi. You can call or text me at 216-400-0703. Save that number. Although I won't be able to answer your call when I don't have wifi, you can still leave me a message and I will be able to respond when I get wifi. I would love to connect my ipod to wifi and have voicemails and texts from you guys so please leave me messages!
Thank you all so much for your support! Your prayers are felt and needed and your donations have led me to be fully funded! I checked my account today and I'm actually over funded! I would have never been able to get here without God and without you. Thank you!
Although, I'm fully funded, many people on my squad are still fund raising. It will be challenging for them to raise funds while on the race. If you were planning on donating to me or want to support this mission, please donate to one of my squadmates! I will post a blog with their info! It would mean the world to me to know that my family, friends, and supporters are supporting my squadmates! I couldn't imagine losing any one of my squadmates because of insufficient funds. If you are able, please consider donating to one of them.
Again, thank you for all your support and I can't wait to share the stories with you from the field! Know that your investment was an investment in the Kingdom of God!
Love you all and talk to you soon!
