So last Friday I held a “Fund raising Team” rally at my good friend Jeanette’s House. Jeanette is an amazing friend that I met at work about three years ago.. she’s an amazing leader and voulunteered to help me raise money, since she’s a recent college Grad, and therefore is pretty broke.
She was like, “Kirsten, I think what you’re doing is so great. I want to support you, but I don’t have any money. But I know how to MAKE money. . .”
So needless to say, she is my Superhero. ———————> ๐
The Night started off with some silliness, having to do with Garbage bags and Masking Tape, But Shortly Thereafter we got to work. Basically the idea was to work on making signs and t-shirts that we would use while we were working our fundraisers.
Jeanette has an amazing personality, so she “hired” some of her friends to help out!

Here is Jeanette spray painting a paper crane stencil on her shirt sleeve. (The paper crane is kind of my mascot, since I make one every day.
Here you can see us spray painting the back of the shirt, which I created a stencil for. (Basically, I found some stencil letters at Michael’s, and then taped them together. A little Black Spray paint, and you have a pretty cool shirt.)

Some of Jeanette’s friends, Liz and Tanisha, (whom I never met before tonight) showed up to help me! I thought it was so cool that Tanisha came, because she was willing to help someone she didn’t know. God bless her giving heart.
Here I am, painting my foot to use as the “Stencil” for the front of the shirt. (you can kind of see the shirt that I’m wearing, has a foot print on it.) The basic idea was that we’re called to be Jesus’ hands and feet, and for me, I think there are so many hands represented… but not enough feet.
Does that make sense?
Hopefully nobody has a problem with feet.
I think we should be willing to get our hands AND feet Dirty for Jesus.

See? I’m a ninja….

hahaha.
Abriel and Josh attempt to make “WR” with their hands. . .
I think it’s a possible fail. What do you think?
So, over all, we had a blast, I bought them pizza and we ate it and were merry. I wish we had taken pictures of some of the signs we made, because they’re awesome…. but I’m sure that there will be a blog with

those at some point. ๐
The night was pretty successful, and we made a TON of shirts. (I still have to make more, but we have a pretty good head start.) If you’d like a shirt, please send me a note! I’m only going to sell them for about $8… just to make up a little bit of the cost of making them. (And raise money, of course… )
So that was my Fund Raising Night. I hope that I write a blog soon about how much money we make off our efforts.. lol.
God Bless you all!!
~Kirsten. ๐
