This past Tuesday afternoon you could find my team, #agapetos and team Rooted Waters walking through the streets of a small community called Phumlani. We were sharing the Gospel and praying with anyone and everyone who would talk to us, what has become a normal part of our ministry. What we didn't expect that afternoon, was to be ministered to ourselves.
After a few minutes out on the street we were greeted by a local pastor, Blom, age 22. He asked if we would join him and come visit his church right away. He led us to what looked like just another house in the small community of metal shacks. The church was a single room with just a few assorted chairs scattered around the perimeter. We sat down and he began sharing scripture and words of encouragement as well as even teaching us a couple songs. Sometime during all of this we noticed some writing on the wall at the head of the room. It read,
"AY DUMI IYATSAMAYA"
which simply means,
"Moving Forward with God."
in one of the local dialects.
The church there in Phumlani, while small, is not stagnant. Miracles happen regularly. With God as the center of their church, there is nothing they can't accomplish. They are moving forward with God.
Likewise, Adventures In Missions has started a new campaign in which they too are moving forward with God, it's called Unsung Heroes, and we need your help to make it possible. It's an effort to build a network of Christian believers doing the work of the kingdom to reach the lost all over the world. AIM is looking for possible contacts where they could sometime in the future send World Race teams just like mine to help build them up in the name of God. They are looking for anyone that could use the support for their benefit without building a self reliance on the support. It's called Unsung Heroes because we are looking for people who may have gone under the radar so far, people who have dedicated their lives to doing the work of the kingdom but still want to move forward in their work, people who are true heroes.
My team has been assigned this month to help out with this campaign and will be going around Capetown and the surrounding areas looking for possible contacts for the Unsung Heroes campaign, but the work is not limited to just our little area. It's a world wide campaign to reach the lost everywhere possible.
If you know someone doing missions work in Capetown, that's awesome! Let us know! But if you know someone (or a group of someones) in Bulgaria or Uruguay that's just as awesome! If there is anyone you can think of doing the work of the kingdom and reaching the lost in any country and could use the possible support of a team from AIM send us their info! Help AIM build their network to the fullest capacity. Send me their name and email address with any other information you have to [email protected] or on Facebook (or any other way you can think of to get it to me!). Help us all as Christians "Move Forward with God."
Thank you all for your help and support in this!
