On my flight to Atlanta as I’m seeing everyone board the plane, I start to wonder about the week that is set before me as I head out to the Georgia wilderness that is awaiting me and the rest of the world racers. Duh duh duh.
One thing that I had noticed, was the seat next to me was the only open seat on the plane, little did I know that it turned out to be a divine appointment set up by God with the man sitting in the aisle seat.
During the take off, I pulled out my Bible and started reading and praying through some scripture in Isaiah. As I was reading, the gentleman in the aisle seat in my row asked me what I was reading. I told him I was currently going through the book of Isaiah. I then asked if he was a believer in Christ, he then affirmed that and told me he used to be a senior pastor of a church and was a strong believer in Christ.
After making small talk with him and learning about him and his family, the conversation then turned to me and asked why I was flying to Atlanta Georgia.
I told him I was going to training camp for an international mission trip called The World Race and explained to the best of my ability all that I would be doing during my time at training camp and for the year 2013, which was not very much information.
He then asked if he could pray for me, I told him I would love for him to pray for me and my squad that I would be meeting very soon. He then prayed for me and my team and reached in his wallet and handed me his business card and a substantial amount of cash.
I was floored, and completely at a loss of words. He told me that God told him to give me the money. I was amazed at his willingness to support a complete stranger. I extended my gratitude toward him and thanked him for his support and obedience to God.
I was entertained by angels:)
