I would like to just briefly tell you all about some of the things I got to do and experience in Nepal last month.

My team was blessed to have an amazing contact who gave us a taste of many different ministry opportunities and gave us freedom to seek out our own as well. We were in Kathmandu, Nepal for one week and then my team headed out to a village in eastern Nepal called Dandabazar. While in Kathmandu we visited two local parks to meet people and share the gospel with them as the Lord opened doors. We also visited and loved on people in a slum, a leper colony, a women’s monastery, a large feeding program for children, and a temple known as the “Monkey Temple”. We also were encouraged to walk the streets and shops of Kathmandu and talk to people and share Jesus with them as He opened doors for us.

After our week in Kathmandu my team headed out to the village. I was excited to have a village experience since I hadn’t yet on the race. We were warmly welcomed into out host’s home and treated like family there. We were all so well cared for and I truly felt like a part of the family, which made me feel really homesick a lot but the Lord helped me through those hard times well. While in the village we did a lot of hiking to other nearby villages to share the gospel with them. I got to share the gospel with several Hindu ladies on one of our last days in the village. I know seeds were planted and I trust them into the Lord’s hands.

In the village we had a fair bit of down time, either in the mornings or afternoons. I treasured the down times a lot. I was able to spend so much sweet time in God’s Word everyday and I felt like the month was a good season of rest and rejuvenation for me from my busy and tiring time in India the month before. I felt like my relationship with Jesus grew stronger during my time in Nepal and that God is continuing to work in me and to build me up to be more and more like His Son to do His work in this world.

I am grateful for my time in Nepal and I am so thankful for all the people that God brought into my life during my time in Nepal. They all helped to make it a great month full of His abundant blessings.
