Note: My team and I have been in India now for just over a week but I have a couple blogs coming that I started to write last month while I was still in Swaziland. I will hopefully add some pictures soon too from my trip thus far!

It is hard to believe that month 2 of my World Race journey is almost complete and that my squad will soon be moving on to India. It has been a great month here at El Shaddai orphanage in Swaziland. The month has been full of precious times with wonderful children, fun times with squadmates, and sweet quiet times with God. I am very thankful for all those wonderful moments, but I can’t say I that was expecting to have these feelings here at El Shaddai this month. Let me take a little step back to my thoughts and feelings before we arrived at El Shaddai.
To be completely honest, going into this month I really had no personal excitement. I was looking forward to seeing my many excited squadmates in their element, looking after children and playing with them and just loving every moment at the orphanage. But I didn’t share in their great excitement. I can’t give you a specific reason why I didn’t share in their excitement, or have my own excitement for the month, but I just didn’t. Although I had no excitement going into month 2, I felt peaceful and ready for ministry at El Shaddai, for whatever the Lord would need me to do there. Thankfully the Lord didn’t want me to stay in my not excited mood. He wanted me to be excited to join in His work at El Shaddai and to enjoy all my time here. After a day and a bit of quiet time and prayer with the Lord, my heart began to feel excitement. It was as if God had a big jug full of excitement and He poured it all into my heart so it wasn’t only full, but it was over-flowing so that I could enjoy all that the Lord had for me in Swaziland. I am extremely thankful for the heart change that God gave me early on in the month so that I have been able to enjoy my time here. I feel so blessed to have been able to be a part of the Lord’s work at El Shaddai and am thankful for the excitement and joy that I have been had in my heart this month. I know that God has done great and mighty things in me and through me during this month and He has given me a new excitement for the next month to come.
