I was told by someone that they liked seeing as many pictures (as possible) of all the things I am experiencing out here on the Race.  I checked into my Picasa account (Picture program) & realized I have a lot of pictures that I haven’t been sharing with you guys!  So, I am now starting a batch of picture blogs just for you!  They start all the way back from September 6 ’til now;  This is the 1st.  All those that like to see as many pictures they can get their hands-on, enjoy!

Ali & my team-leader (Jennifer) making their way onto the boat…

We had to take 2 boats to get to the island.

…while our 6 men were busy doing some heavy labor to serve us girls =)

The boys loading the bags onto the boat.

Traveled-out…but, what a beautiful view of Thailand.
Guatemala, to Mexico City, to LAX, to Taipei, to Bangkok, to Kosomet Island for debrief!

In the bow of the boat.

Lisa, Ali, Steph, and Tara.

We are all very excited to be in a new part of the world & to be able to “debrief” from a month of ministy.

Sarah, Jen, and Melanie on the boat.

Our plan was to stay on the island for a few days w/the Jan. squad.

Maithili and Jess

Heading to the island, we knew we would have rest & be able to process what the squad, the teams, as well as ourselves needed to work on.

The beach was good for running–hard–but good.  I loved seeing the different parts of the island & the locals who lived & worked there.

The beautiful island!

Many of the shop owners seem to go by this philosophy: “White = Rich”

Amy, enjoying the local shops!

32 people, ~40 lb. bag each =  1,280 lbs. of luggage (aka “crap”).

A pile of packs.
