preface: at first glance you're going to think I'm about to tell a really exciting story, but I have to warn you there really isn't any story…just a bunch of 'happenings'…so don't get your hopes up!

So it starts out like any ordinary week..
Monday morning rolls around and I cringe at the sound of my ‘bell tower’ alarm forcing me out of my bed.  Head to the gym with my roommate and after our starbucks pit stop we carry on to conquer all our morning classes together (we're both 5th year architecture students). Once we’re finally freed, the sun is in full swing and it’s making me oh-so-happy to feel that heat on my skin. I’m itching for summer to roll around. After we made it home, I go to chill in one of my favorite spots at the house; our back porch.

Avoiding doing anything productive, I start watching a movie, followed by a 2 hour nap. About 5:30 I’m starting to crave some strawberries/bananas and chocolate. I end up going to walmart before my small group to surprise the girls with a yummy treat; it was a success.

After small group, I proceed to get on facebook where I’m instantly greeted by a fellow WR asking me if I wanted to skype.  And my evening ends laughing with new friends.

So Monday lays the foundation of a pretty wonderful week in the making.

On Tuesday, I wake up incredibly happy because it’s the first Tuesday I haven’t had to work since this semester has started. So Cass and I go to studio to be productive (a rare occasion these days) and I last about 4 hours before a fatal incident happens. I don’t want to go into details but to sum it up, the computer won.. So I’m pretty T-Oed by the time I get home, but much to my surprise I had a little surprise to turn that frown upside down… my tent.

So I did what most every girl does…carefully read the instructions…and then got to work. After putting the poles on the wrong way and thinking to myself ‘okay architect, you can do this’ I showed that tent who was boss and this was the result..

I laid in it for 20 minutes, and decided it passed the test, and I could live in this tent for 11 months, so the real task begins ‘can I pack it back up??’ …no picture to coincide the result, so I will just tell you it was a success, overall rating the tent an A+.

After all the tent building and tear down adventures Cass and I head to Lifestream. They did something a little different that night. Usually it’s just worship for 15 minutes, 35 minutes message, followed by 10 minutes of worship..but tonight there was a little surprise as well. Deal or no Deal with a twist..

Yes, those are men wearing dresses. It was awesome.

After returning home and getting on facebook, again, I’m greeted by a WR telling me skype is happening and I need to join. Turned out it was an all-girls-skype-night, I loved it! …But about 1A we had a little surprise guest join us..

..sorry Christian, I know I said I wouldn’t show anyone, but I needed a pic here.. and this ones just too good to pass up. Can you tell his eyeballs are about to fall out of his head?! Haha.

About 1:30a I decide I’d better put an end to this wonderful Tuesday evening and call it a night with my girls and head to bed.

So Wednesday morning rolls around and I cringe at the sound of my alarm once again. I decide to forgo the gym and get a few more hours of sleep due to my late night skyping. After enduring a long and painful Environmental Ecology class I happily head home to get ready for studio.

Since I’m not buying groceries (due to the fact that I’m moving out in a month and need to eat what I have) I head to Panda Garden for some delish take out Chinese. Now I don’t know about you all but Chinese food is great, I’m sweet & sour chicken all the way, yummy stuff, but honestly the best part of Chinese for me is the fortune cookie. So I got my Chinese take out and loaded my purse full of fortune cookies and head to studio.  After scarfing down my food and sharing what I didn’t eat with my colleague I dive in to some fortune cookie goodness. Since I love fortune cookies, you can imagine how many fortunes I’ve read in my lifetime…but this one tops them ALL!

That’s right

I start reading it aloud, ‘Something wonderful is about to happ’….pause….and then uncontrollable laughing….Now I was already having a wonderful Wednesday, but I have no doubt if I would’ve been in a Debbie-mood this little piece of paper would’ve changed it all for me.

So I make it through what is usually a painful 4 hour studio in a really good mood and set out for work in a really good mood and come home that night still in a really good mood…it’s the little things I appreciate (as you can tell)
So I make it home after work and find not one but two packages patiently waiting for me to open!
The first…

my kelty 30degree galactic sleeping bag

After laying in it for 10 minutes I give it the ‘okay’ and proceed to open my next surprise…

100White/100Black 1” ‘PRAY’ bracelets.

I am super excited about these. I’m going to be selling them for $5 if anyone wants to buy one. All proceeds go towards my World Race expenses.

So while I’m bouncing off the walls because of my new stuff, exhaustion begins to take over and I head to bed.

So my favorite day of the week finally arrives, Thursday, not only and I happy because it’s Thursday (exciting things happen with me and my sisters on Thurs) but I’m very happy because this is the first Thursday all semester I haven’t had to go to work, so I get up and lay in my sleeping bag for about 30 minutes to reassess my approval and decide, yes, it will work. And proceed to start my day.

Before I’m about to head to studio I get an email stating that I have a letter at the college that I need to go pick up.

It’s a ‘cordial’ invitation to graduation. Which is an instant reminder that I only have to go to class 6 more times and in 23 days I’ll be walking across the stage!! ..but whose counting?!

So besides that and another skype call with some of my awesome squad mates that night, that’s all that happened on Thursday. But it was still a good day in my book.
Oh! And I made the poster for my Garage Sale!

…you’ll probably be seeing this again before May 20th..

So finally Friday,
I go to class, take a test, and then head to studio. Nothing exciting. But at 5 oclock I’m finally free and head to church with the fam for the Friday night service.

That’s Miles our campus pastor, we just got through with the baptism bash, I love those..

So after church lets out this is what we come outside to…

God is so Good.

Which brings me to my final thought for the week/this Easter Celebration weekend:

It was a perfect sacrifice by a perfect person
to perfect some very imperfect people.
By that single offering, he did everything that needed to be done
for everyone who takes part in the purifying process.
The Holy Spirit confirms this:
This new plan I'm making with Israel isn't going to be written on paper,
isn't going to be chiseled in stone;
This time "I'm writing out the plan in them,
carving it on the lining of their hearts."
He concludes, I'll forever wipe the slate clean of their sins.
Once sins are taken care of for good,
there's no longer any need to offer sacrifices for them.
So, friends, we can now-without hesitation-walk right up to God, into "the Holy Place."
Jesus has cleared the way by the blood of his sacrifice,
acting as our priest before God.
The "curtain" into God's presence is his body.
So let's do it-full of belief, confident that we're presentable inside and out.
Let's keep a firm grip on the promises that keep us going.
He always keeps his word.

-Hebrews 10:14-23(msg)

God is so Good.

I had a lot of 'exciting happenings' this week but it all boils down that God is so good to me and I will forever sing His praise. Thank you everyone who is supporting me through prayer and financially. I'm so excited to see God's plan revealed.

And if you haven't seen this yet check it out: I don't care who you are, it's hard to deny this girl has got a set of pipes on her (and I'm slightly envious)
