I am done down playing what happened. I am done disbelieving that God is so powerful that He couldn’t actually heal someone right before my very eyes.

A few days before I left on the Race, I was walking with my friend, Alison, talking about how I have never witnessed a miracle, a healing, or spiritual warfare before and I don’t know if I really believe in it. I thought maybe it was just things that happened in Bible times that people can now explain with medicine and advanced technology. But no, God is real and is working through miracles and healings and I have witnessed it!

My team and our parents were on a prayer walk in Nicaragua through a neighborhood during the Parent Vision Trip. We were invited into a women’s house and she asked for healing on her stiff knee that couldn’t move. We laid hands on her and prayed. She said it was a little better but to please pray again. We laid our hands on her once again and prayed, with more faith. “Lord, don’t just let her have a good and fast recovery, heal her now. In Jesus name, we declare that her knee is healed because we have the authority of Christ living in us. Amen”

We pulled back in eager expectation. She stood up, swung her knee back and forth and walked around the room. She was healed. She smiled and said thank you continuously. God had healed her right there before our very eyes.

Jesus says in response to Thomas’ doubt, “Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.” (John 20:29) May we be bold in asking God for the impossible and believing God can and will do the impossible because He is God and we are not.

Love,

Kimmy
