This is not just for the ladies; it applies to you men too.
Are You willing to allow the Holy Spirit to conceive something in you?
Are you willing to give birth to it, despite the pain and suffering of the labor?
Will you endure the hardship, for the joy of seeing God’s Kingdom born into you life and into this world?
God chose to bring His Kingdom into this fallen and corrupt world, by impregnating a common young girl with His son. That common young girl, believed that what the Lord said to her would be accomplished – that which the Holy Spirit conceived in her would be born through her.
All of Hell’s fury was aimed at destroying Him whom was conceived by the Holy Spirit and birthed by a woman. Yet God protected them and sustained them becuase it was His plan and His plans do not fail.
So many of our “good works” are conceived of man and brought about by man’s wisdom and man’s strength. And when they are accomplished without opposition, we consider it a success. We applaud our efforts and think highly of ourselves, even though most of what we do has nothing to do with the Kingdom of God at all. It’s all just religion, our attempt to do God’s work in our own way and by our own strength. When judgement day comes, those works will be shown for what they are. Only those things that were conceived by the Holy Spirit and sustained by Him will survive the fire.
If God places a vision in your heart and you are obedient and submissive to Him, He will bring that thing to pass. No matter what Hell tries to throw in your way, it will not stop you because it is God’s vision and God’s plan and it can not fail if you will allow Him to do this thing in you. Our only responsability is to listen for His voice and submit our lives to Him in obedience to His command. The rest is up to Him.
When Mary submitted to God’s plan for her life, do you think she thought it would be easy? Don’t you think she knew that she would be despised and rejected. Don’t you think she knew they might accuse her of adultery and try to stone her to death? She knew what people would think and what they would say. She knew they wouldn’t understand. But she believed what God had said, and that was all she needed.
If the Holy Spirit conceives something in you, find somebody else who is also pregnant with God’s vision. They are the only ones who will encourage and support you when everybody else is against you. You will strengthen eachother to endure the suffering along the way. Reread Luke 1: 41-45.
Do not fear the word of the Lord. Do not fear the plans He desires to birth in you. He will guard you and sustain you until that which is conceived is brought to birth.
Are you willing to say as Mary did, “I am the Lord’s servant; may it be to me as you have said”?
