These last few weeks have left my head spinning. I feel like I’m in a traffic circle, going around and around trying to figure out where I am supposed to get off.

I have been asking for directions on where to go from here. I got a general heading and began to make my way thinking I had an idea of where I was going. But when I got there, it wasn’t quite what I expected. The next step in the directions took me toward a completely different destination than where I thought I was going. Then as soon as I got comfortable with this new route, it took an unexpected turn.

Sometimes following God is a little like following a GPS to an unknown destination. I turn where it tells me to turn, but I don’t know where it is taking me. When I least expect it, “beep, turn left at the next intersection”, and I thought my next stop was just over the hill. My GPS seems to be missing the early warning system that tells me I am approaching my next turn in 1.5 miles.

It sure would be nice to take a look at that program and see where I’m gonna end up, but I guess that would take all the fun out of it. I guess if you don’t know where you are going, you don’t have to worry about making a wrong turn. You just go where the GPS tells you and enjoy the scenery.
