Bang! The new year begins as does our amazing adventure. We had a bonfire in the parking lot, lit off a few explosives, and toasted the new year with sparkling grape juice. Seems like a normal New Years celebration, except for the fact that we are in Mexico and facing the beginning of the biggest adventure of our lives.
I doubt that many of us made the traditional resolutions. Change has pretty much been built into our schedule. There will be many new things to experience, and many challenges to overcome. Growth will be a daily process.
We spent today in quiet contemplation, and conversation with God. Many things were revealed in those moments of silence, visions shared, revelations and insights spoken aloud for the encouragement of all who were present. We have a strong team and the power of the Lord is among us. We can feel Him, hear Him, and we will follow Him wherever He leads us.
As we continue our training over the next two days, I ask that you would take a moment to seek the face of God. Ask Him how you can pray for us and support us, only He knows what lies ahead. It is in these first days that we need to strengthen the bonds between us; home team and field team, we need to join our hearts and minds in one purpose, to seek His will on earth as it is in heaven.
As you pray I ask that you would lift up the following things as well as whatever the Lord puts on your heart. Please take a moment to add a comment and share with us.

Bonding with individuals, as a small team and a large team.
Unity among the teams so we work as one body in ministry.
Strength and wisdom for leaders and staff.
Wisdom and safety for the race portion which begins on Friday.
Opening of hearts and minds to hear the message of salvation.
Sensitivity to the Holy Spirit for us and the local Christians.
There are so many things I could list, but instead I ask you to seek wisdom and discernment from our Almighty and Allknowing God.
We pray blessings upon you in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, that your hearts and minds will be open to the Spirit of the Lord. I pray that your lives will be changed through these blogs, and that you would share the vision of The World Race with people all around you. Together we will raise up an army that will reclaim this generation for the Lord. Are you ready?
