You know those times in life when everything changes? They can be exciting times like weddings, when two people unite to become one and live in a completely new way. Or it could be very sad times like when a loved one dies. Functioning without that person is something that takes time to adjust to.

Here on the World Race, the lives of these racers has just changed dramatically. This is a very exciting time because something new has just begun. The P Squad is a family of 79 (including squad leaders and coaches) that will continually support, encourage and uplift one another throughout this year and beyond! Yet they are very sad as they have had to leave their family and friends who have been their support and encouragement throughout their lives.
This time of adjustment is hard. Living in a community of believers when you are used to doing things a certain way can be frustrating. 77 different personalities colliding is such a challenge. But in the end, strength and unity will be formed when each person is committed and not afraid of getting a little (or a lot) messy!
The lives of these racers will never be the same. They are walking into new ways of life. They are seeing how others around the world live life and function without many of the conveniences they are used to and sometimes depend on. They are going to see the suffering and pain of people who are not as fortunate as they are. But they are also going to see the hope and joy that comes with knowing Jesus Christ and the way that our God always comes through when we need him!
Pray for these racers as they adjust. Pray as they grieve leaving home. Pray that they lean on the support of their teams and their squad. Also pray for me for discernment to know how to handle any and all situations as they arise!
