Just a year and a half ago I was in Santo Domingo, Domincan Republic for the first time. On our very first race day we were given significant places in the city to go and visit. We quickly checked them off our list and soaked in the sights of the city.

Yesterday I got back to Santo Domingo and recognized the city as we drove through, though it was harder to see being that the sun had already set! Today the training staff and squad leaders went to lunch in the same little colonial area where we had our race day! It’s really good to be back!

All of our team leaders, finance and logistics people have made it here safely. Tomorrow the rest of the squad are on their way, pray for their safety as they travel this way! They are filled with sadness as they say good bye, yet great excitement and nervousness as they look forward to their next 11 months!

Pray for us as we adjust to the heat down here. It is very HOT!!! It was hard to sleep last night, so pray that we all get the sleep that we need as we prepare to head off for our first month of ministry! We will be leaving on Friday. I will be going to San Juan, Domincan Republic with 7 of the teams.

Stay tuned, there will be more!!!
