Team Indelible is now in a closed country. After arriving we had nothing planned. We had no transportation from the border and no room to stay in once we got into town. Manna had a contact though and he ended up finding us transportation and setting us up in the hostel that Manna was staying at. Everything worked out perfectly and we were situated enough that we could then take the time to pray and ask God where he wanted us. God really spoke to me and showed me that we should stay in the city we are in, but that we needed to move closer into the city. After doing a prayer walk with Matt the first night, I fell in love with this city. It is small and surprisingly very touristy. We found a hostel in town, but far enough away from the main roads that it is quiet. To get the room we had to do a little bit of negotiating! Now we have one room, one bathroom and three beds, with 8 people sharing everything! We have 8 people because our squad leader, Jenny Brown is staying with us until the end of this week! I am happy to say that we are not killing each other and I enjoy all of us being together. 
The day that we arrived at the hostel we gathered together so that we could do some listening prayer to see where God wanted us for the month…or possibly just for the day. As we prayed and worshiped together and then went out and walked the city together, it became pretty clear that we needed to minister to ourselves as a team before we could do anything else. After four busy months of non-stop ministries, we have found that we barely know each other! So we have designated a day for each person on the team, as their “birthday.” They get the chance to tell their life story and share anything that makes them who they are. Then in the evenings we have been going on one-on-one dates with each other to build the individual dynamic as well. It has done wonders for our team. It seems that as each day goes by we are getting stronger and stronger. We are learning our struggles and frustrations and what each person really enjoys. This is going to continue into next week. I can’t wait to see what God has for us after that! Some of us have had a little difficulty because right now we are not “doing anything.” We are a group of doers. But as this race goes on I am learning more and more that God does not want us to “do” a lot, He wants us to be with Him. When we take our focus off of our own efforts and start just wanting to soak in everything that He is pouring out, we will be able to see more clearly what He wants us to do…whether that is soaking him in more and going out and ministering to a hurting world! How often do we get stuck in the trap of always having to do stuff…especially the stuff that is good? God is crying out to us to just take a time out to be with Him! Most of the time it is not possible to do what my team is doing, but when you put your priority on being with God instead doing for God it will change things. You will start hearing the voice of God like never before!
