I am in Thailand now, in a city called Phuket. We are ministering with an organization that reaches out to the girls in the bars that are stuck in the sex trade. I’m learning not to be mad at the male sex tourists in Thailand that are everywhere. They are just as empty and lost as the girls who are being used. While in Bangkok I saw an old man with a very young (18-20) girl getting into a taxi together and I got mad. I didn’t know what to pray because I wanted to pray that he would be struck by lightning or that his equipment wouldn’t work (or would shrivel up). But I know that that’s not what God wants me to feel or to pray for him. The past few days I have been talking to people about it and though the situation still makes me sick, I know that I can not blame the men. The wickedness in their hearts is human. They are lost, insecure and without hope. They turn to these girls because they have major intimacy issues. The girls are a momentary fix to the emptiness that they have raging inside. Their hearts need to be broken because of the sin they are committing towards our most holy God. They need truth spoken over them. Praise the Lord for the godly men from the LA YWAM team coming out with us. They are going up against a tough battle of talking to the male sex tourists. Lord bring the opportunities to talk to the men who are open to hearing about Christ!
