It’s debrief time. We arrived in Guatemala on Feb 2nd and have been spending some time rejuvenating here in Antigua. Debrief is like a 4 day resting time before going back into the field. We meet with our coaches and mentors and team leaders. We discuss the past month, how the team is doing, what needs to be worked on, what our needs are and how we are doing spiritually. It’s also a time to bond with the team in a setting outside of ministry and get better acquainted with this family you are a part of.

One of the things we did as a team during our debrief is hike the Pacaya Volcano. It was such an amazing experience. The volcano is very active and exploded just 3 weeks before we were there. We got to walk right up to where the crater was and see where the lava flowed. It was absolutely amazing. We even had the opportunity to roast marshmellows on the volcano. I made an informational video on how to roast a mashmellow in a volcano. Check it out on my facebook page, I really hope it uploads (sorry couldn’t get it to load on here). A million thanks for all your support and prayers. Its been an incredible journey so far. I wouldn’t be here without you ๐Ÿ™‚

Tomorrow we head out to Santa Cruz del Quiche. We will be working at the Hospital National Santa Elena. We will be working with an organization called Agape in Action which was started by a fellow racer. We will be doing mainly medical missions but also will have the opportunity to go out into the community and do prison ministry. I am very excited about doing prison work, right up my alley. The medical aspects of this month will be a challenge but I am ready to learn ๐Ÿ™‚

Stay Blessed
