The last night we stayed in our host's home, we had a birthday party to celebrate some of the older kids birthdays. It also happened to be the last night I saw one of my special needs girls, Hope, and I don't think she knew I was leaving but I went and sat next to her and talked to her. She kept smacking her lips and leaning over to me, and I finally realised she was wanting to give me a kiss! So I leaned my cheek over and she gave me a kiss, and then would giggle after. It just melted my heart. She did this repeatedly, and I just kept leaning my face over for kisses. How could I resist?? Especially when she giggled her precious laugh after each time.
That, and all the mornings spent with her and my little friend Tina were definitely the highlights of my month.
Next month we will be in Vietnam, and it is a closed communist country, but no worries, we will be safe! Teams come here all the time. But I have decided to FAST from Facebook, along with the rest of my team radical girls. We just want to focus more of our time on being intentional with God and each other. Stay posted, we have three days of travel to Hanoi, Vietnam. I can't wait to find out what ministry is like! We are going to be working with Donkey Bakery and its going to be really awesome. I'm so excited!!
