We knew it was coming. We were waiting in anxious anticipation. Its like the moment you go to jump off the high dive for the first time and your standing on the edge, just waiting for the plunge. You feel like you are up there for forever before you finally make the jump. Well we finally felt the water after taking the plunge this morning, when they told us who our new teams would be.
This is a big deal. For many of us, the past three months with our teams has been amazing, and they have become our little families. But we all knew that one thing is always certain, and that’s change. I can speak for many on team Braveheart if not all, that in the past two months we have formed deep bonds and friendships. I have enjoyed our time in India and Nepal so much and I will forever cherish those memories with you all. We learned, loved, and grew together, and I will miss you so much, but now its time to turn over a new leaf and begin a new chapter of the race.
So I am proud to announce my new team, unnamed at the moment, but here they are:
Harris, you all probably remember him, my trusty team leader. We two make the leftovers from team braveheart.
The lovely married duo, Hagan and Kagan!! (today, Kagan taught me how to bargain shop and haggle!! She’s good at it too)
And then two beautiful and wonderful ladies that I am excited to grow deeper with, Leanna and Laura!!
While I am still grieving the loss of some dear friends from braveheart, I am equally excited for this new team, to grow together and challenge each other to become more like Christ every day.
Last shout out to team Braveheart,
Ali, miss logistics queen, I will miss getting to hang out with you, watching you grow each day, and just your enthusiasm for life. I love you so much!
Drew, mister scriptures, I will miss our deep chats and listening to David platt podcasts on the way to ministry. Guess I will have to download my own now lol. Keep doing your thang. You will inspire many, as you already have.
Katie, miss trooper, keep flying your carpet! I have loved watching you grow and learning from your wisdom, and your perseverance to worship God at all times no matter the circumstances. Love you sister.
Seth aka Zetty, I will miss watching you interact with people, your crazy dance moves, and sharing your bisella with me. Your awesome, keep digging deeper in scripture with the Lord.
As for my new team, get ready for the ride and let the new adventures begin!!
