It’s been a little over two months since I’ve been home from the World Race and I’m excited to announce what I’ll be doing these next four months now that I’m home! This past year abroad has been challenging and growing for me. I started the race not really knowing my identity, which created room for problems with comparison and confidence/self-worth.
Every month on the field required me to step out of my comfort zone and depend fully on the Lord. Through that and abandoning other distractions, I was able to focus on Christ and who He says I am. As I continued to grow in my identity, the Lord began placing passions and desires in my heart. He showed me my passion for education while I was teaching English in Cambodia.
God’s given me a desire to serve and empower the underprivileged through education. He’s called me to Gainesville, Georgia starting in September to further develop my leadership skills. I will be an apprentice with Adventures in Missions through Center for Global Action (CGA). CGA is an apprentice program that is dedicated to holistic development through community, discipleship, and apprenticeship. The program will grow me in my ability to disciple others. I will also be challenged in my own spiritual journey by the community by which I’ll be surrounded. The goal of this four-month apprenticeship is to have the discipleship and management skills to lead an Adventures trip and also to effectively disciple others at home. My desire is to merge my passions for education and discipleship for the spread of the gospel and I’m excited that CGA will be a part of it!
If you would like to support me financially during this next season, you can click on the “Support Me” tab on the left side of the screen. The cost of four months of CGA is $3950. Donations are tax-deductible. I also would love prayer supporters. I’ve definitely witnessed the power of prayer this year and would love as many prayer supporters as possible! I’m so excited for this next season and can’t wait to see what God does in it.
