Who: Well me and my squad of about 40 other world racers are heading out in September on Route 2. Now there is five routes in September, all with their own squads, but you can see who is on my squad my clicking the “meet my squad” link on the left and side of my blog! Just and FYI I do not know any of these people and I will be meeting most of them for the first time at training camp in July!

What: The World Race. Its a crazy yet fascinating adventure to 11 different countries in 11 months. What will we be doing you may ask? Well a whole lot of things! Different countries have different needs, so will be doing a variety of things in each country. We could be teaching English, handing out food, working with orphans, VBS, construction but overall spreading the word of Jesus Christ to the lost and hurting nations of the world. Some days will be very busy ministering to people and other days can be slower and include buying groceries, praying, and having alone time.

Lets make one thing clear here though: I am not dropping off the face of the earth! We will have internet and wifi to connect with people at home who we have partnered with. We do have to buy a tent, sleeping bag, sleeping bag, and backpack but we will still be out in the community not in the middle of nowhere, far far away from civilization. I will be keeping in touch with supporters and people from back home with blogs, pictures, social media and skype so THIS BLOG is the place to keep updated!

When: There is a training camp we all have to attend in Georgia from July 6th-16th and then I leave for 11 months in the beginning of September, the 4th or 5th! (SO CRAZY)

Where: The countries me and my squad are going to are as follows:

Romania, Albania, Bulgaria, Kosovo, Mozambique, Swaziland, South Africa, Peru, Ecuador, Columbia, and Bolivia!

Why: Why am I doing this you might ask? Well long story short, I have always been called to missions work and a feeling has been laid on my heart that I need to go help those in need. It bothers me when I see children begging for food, it bothers me seeing poor communities crying for help, and it bothers me seeing lost and broken people who do not know the hope and joy Jesus has to offer. I want to reach the unreachable and tell them that there is hope for the hopelessness, joy for the sorrowful, and strength for the brokenness they may feel and that everyone is loved by their creator, Jesus Christ.

HOW: I asked myself, how am I going to do this? How am I going to raise $16,000? Through vigilant prayer, TRUST in the Lord, and partnership with YOU! I cannot do it by myself, only with the Lord’s hand can I complete this task. I’ve learned just this past month that God is bigger than $16,000 and I have to trust in Him that he will give me hearts that are led to give to my cause.

If you would like to partner with me you can click the “SUPPORT ME” link at the top of my blog! I have raised about $2,000 so far, lets keep it going, donations and support are SO SO SO sppreciated! Any questions? They can be submitted at the bottom of this post. THANK YOU for reading.
