On my Race, my friend and teammate, DeAnna taught me a lot about words: how to use them, how to study them, and, super importantly, how God speaks through them.

As I’m back in America, I’ve been taking some time to reflect on my journey. Tonight, as I was reflecting, like a flash, the phrase “imparting a print” came into my mind. The way I saw it in my mind was like this:

I’mPARTing the I’mPRINT.

Let me break it down for you ( and for me too! )

The first “I’m” is me, Kim. As a Daughter of the King, living to obey God’s commands, I’m playing/doing my PART.

One request God had of me was to ‘go’ so I went on the World Race. By His Grace alone, in 2014, I had the honor of representing Him in 13 countries.  Although I’ve  had many different relationships on the Race, they all have had one thing in common: I am no longer living with them, face to face. This year I was blessed to be in hundreds of people’s lives and they in mine. Now with hind-sight reflection, I’m able to see that on the Race, God used me in all of my brokenness to be in people’s lives even if just for just a moment, a month or 11 months. That’s such an beautiful aspect of God: He uses His children to be in a PART of other’s lives.

The second “I’m” stands for  the Great I AM. (God) He wants His Command (to love Him and others) to be the blueprint, the foundation of our lives.

Simply put, imprint means to impress upon a surface or a body.

The God who made the earth, the One that I believe in and follow isn’t a ‘here today, gone tomorrow’ kind of God: He’s constant, has always been and will always be. His Love is genuine, respectful, honorable, sincere, deep, wide, and strong. He wants to imprint this amazing truth not only onto every body, but every heart.

While we’re on earth, I don’t think anyone of us will know how much God used us to imprint His love on people, but I know one thing for sure: I want to continue to play my part and imprint His love into people’s lives.

In an oddly good- tasting nutshell, that’s the Gospel? God  imprints (shares) His Love to your heart through your loved ones, or even strangers. Then, as you see and taste how good His love is, you want to tell others about it and print (share) it with others. That’s it: simply and wonderfully.

Whatever is down the road for me personally, whether it’s serving coffee in America, teaching English in South Korea, or going on another mission trip, I want to continue to play my part and imprint His love to others.

We’re all imparting and imprinting something on others.

What are you imparting and imprinting?
