I want to set the record straight. As gracious as the Lord has been equipping each and every World Racer with strength, endurance and perseverance, He’s also blessed each and every January 2014 World Racer with some stellar people to support them, stellar supporters if you will.
One woman who is CONSTANTLY encouraging me, helping me trust who I am in Christ , speaking truth into my life, and calling me higher than where I think I can be is my Alumni Squad Leader, Geena Nohinek.

I had the gift of meeting Geena at our training camp last October, and the very first thing I remember about her was her one – of – kind way to get to know me. She wanted to know me and my story pretty much instantly. It was an amazing thing to receive. I also noticed her smile, along with her cheery demeanor lights up rooms, houses even! She truly radiates joy in every direction, because she has a solid understanding of who she really is, a Daughter of the King.
Whilst we were in Guatemala, she and Madisson Wisher, my other Squad Leader, led a session for the women on three teams to embrace who we are as women in Christ. This was an incredible experience for me, and I so dearly appreciated that session and the conversations that we had afterward.
She stood by me in the Denkins’ home as I declared truth over myself. She told me about TED talks that reminded her of me. She giggled and her eyes widened as I shared my dreams with her in Thailand. She always had (and still has) practical applicable advice for me and all of the Squad, because she’s a consistent researcher and she’s always pursuing ways to live her best life and inviting others to do the same.
She’s currently in Texas, preparing for some big life changes ahead. She’s an incredible woman. Please join me in praying for her in the next chapter of her life!
