I want to set the record straight. As gracious as the Lord has been equipping each and every World Racer with strength, endurance and perseverance, He’s also blessed each and every January 2014 World Racer with some stellar people to support them, stellar supporters  if you will.

One woman who is CONSTANTLY fighting for me, praying for me, speaking truth into my life, and calling me higher than where I think I can be is my Alumni Squad Leader, Madisson Wisher.

Madisson came to the Squad with some sweet dance moves and a killer smile. She also brought an incredible amount of self awareness, willingness to share, and very importantly, a deep willingness to listen. She is completely real when it comes to sharing her faith, her life experiences, and what God has done and is currently doing in her life.

In the first five months of the Race as I was processing big things that were going on in my head, my spirit and my heart, she patiently listened. Then, in perfect timing, she dished out the truth. Sometimes it was when I didn’t want to hear it but needed to, and often it was truth about myself and my identity, and I just needed that basic reminder.  We’ve had numerous heart to hearts on streets, hammocks and in coffee shops, and I’ve loved and appreciated every single one.

She’s a phenomenal woman who embraced her Race when she was a Racer, as well as when she was squad leading. When wanting to get to know the squad, she didn’t waste a single moment pouring into people and investing in relationships, and she STILL pours into the squad by keeping us updated about her adventures in England! She dives into the Word of God and then lives it out consistently, making her an amazing example of a Godly woman. I love her very much and appreciate her like crazy!

Madisson has been praying to see her Squad again at DeBrief at the end of August.

She needs to raise support in order to do this.
