Sunday the 9th

Going to church and dancing excitedly with my dear friend and squad mate, Chelle, in front of the entire congregation.

Monday the 10th

Sitting at a pulperia (a small snack shop) eating Melody Mix with my teammates.

Tuesday the 11th

Quenching many ants’ thirst as they tried to climb into my shoes as I was laying cement to build a fence.

Listening to my Squadmate, Elena, and my team mate Kehinde, sing Joyful Joyful (from Sister Act 2)

Having a heart to heart with my squad leader who reminded me that I do indeed embrace joy, and nothing, nothing at all will ever take that joy away.

Wednesday the 12th

Writing notes to my teammates and asking each one, ” How can you make this day memorable?”

(Evening) Laying on my back on the grass, looking up at the stars ( well the clouds which were covering the stars) with my head nestled in between my team mates’ heads,  and playing 2 truths and a lie.

Thursday the 13th

With pick axes and shovels in  their hands,  recording my teammates and squad mates dancing wildly to Hillsong Youth’s “Alive”

(Evening) Standing in the line to wash dishes, completely exhausted and just saying to myself, “Lord, I wish someone who vountarily wash my cup,” and then less then 30 seconds later, the young woman in front of me turns to me and says, “Please give me your cup. I’d like to bless you.”

Sitting in rocking chairs and swinging benches, with lasagna making its way from our mouths to our bellies, my team and I sharing stories about how our parents met. learning how my team mate’s parents met.

Sharing some elements of my past relationships with some of my squadmates and feeling absolutely no guilt or shame nor any judgement from them.

Friday the 14th

Waking up super early to cook French Toast to the men of A- Squad.

Going into a village with some members of Team Awakening and praying for Esteban and his family.

Having an eye opening, heart opening, and Spirit opening conversation with Grace, my contact for this month.

Being greeting at the door with the warmest smile and escorted into the kitchen, and hearing, ” Announcing, Princess Kimberly!”

Sitting down to a  plate of vegetables and rice, a cup of freshly squeezed lemonade (with a strawberry on the rim of the cup) and a fake rose with a note attached.

Literally tasting the love with each bite of the rice and vegetables that the men of the A Squad prepared for every single woman on the Squad.

Steppin’ with my sisters in Dependent by Faith for our men.

It was a crazy awesome week, jam packed with wonderful, wonderful things. Words can’t describe how blessed I am, and how much I’m looking forward to continuing on this crazy race.
