would have seemed strange before the race now feel normal. For example, this
month 20 women shared one bathroom, that alone would have been challenging 9
months ago but now it is ‘normal.’ And the fact that the shower is not enclosed
with a door or curtain is no longer something to turn your head at but rather a
luxury because it means that there is running water. Lastly, before this year a
cold shower would have been something that I had to just suck up and deal with
but is now (especially in Thailand) it is a welcomed and refreshing treat.
While we had a western toilet, I did have the privilege of using a squatty
potty outhouse at one of our ministry sites… I don’t think that will ever be
normal!

I am fairly certain that this month I took
more showers than any other month this year averaging at about 2 a day and
maxing out around 4 in one day. Thank you hot, humid, costal climate!
Many Blessings,
Kim
