“A leader can’t lead unless he knows where
he is going” (John Lock, Lost).
When I heard this I felt like there was a
lot of truth in it; but I think that more than “where you are going” you must
know who you are following.
of W-squad will be doing “man-istry month” and the women have been split into
seven new teams. I was humbled and honored to be asked to lead one of the
womens teams. I have been both nervous and excited about what this next month
holds. But I know who I am following and I trust that God is going to guide and
lead me in this next month.
This month in Thailand will be with the new
team 5:17. Our team chose the verse in 2 Corinthians 5:17 to speak to what we
want for this month: “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation;
the old has gone, the new has come!” We desire God to use us to show women and
men involved in modern day slavery, or sex trafficking, the new creation God
has for them.
Without further ado, let me introduce to
you team 5:17:
I am thrilled to have my current teammate
and friend by my side in Thailand! She is an amazing woman of God who desires
His will for her life above all else. Kelly is funny, gracious, and full of
wisdom. God is doing big things in and through her and I am honored to see His
plan unfold in her life this month.
Ashley was on team Battlecry with me. She
is one of the funniest people I know and she takes such joy everywhere she
goes. She is a woman of faith and God’s love and grace is written all over her
life. I am overjoyed to experience the blessing of one more month with Ashley.
Lindsey is one of my good friends from many
pre-race skype calls. She is also funny (I’m noticing a trend…) and she rocks a
weave like no one else! Lindsey is a woman of knowledge and love. Her smile
lights up the room and her spirit lights up countries! I can’t wait to spend
this month with her!
Please keep us in your prayers as we spend
this month seeking God in Thailand!
Many Blessings,
Kim
