New
continent, new team! During our squad debrief between South America and Europe
we were assigned new teams. On our first day as a team one of our assignments
was to come up with a new team name. On the race team names are very important
and tend to decide the direction of the team. As we talked about it we decided
that as a team we wanted to go into places and destroy them bringing healing
and life. After much discussion we came up with Healing Hurricane. Here is an
introduction to my new teammates:

Kyle
Dennard
Kyle
is a fellow Georgian! He is our team’s fearless leader and he does a great job.
Kyle is one of those all around people that doesn’t really fit into any one
box. He loves the outdoors and music and he sports the ‘hipster’ look (a term I
have just recently learned). He is an incredible man of God who serves in love.
Kelly
Mulderig
I
was blessed to get to know Kelly at training camp and am excited to have her on
my team. She is a sorority girl through and through; she wears the ‘uniform’
almost every day which consist of an oversized sorority t-shirt. AOII is her
passion and she hopes to work and have ministry with them in the future.
Kelly’s heart is huge and I am so excited to see her in ministry!
Lindsay
Short
This
girl is awesome! She is super stylish and I’m a little jealous of her WR
wardrobe, mainly because she can pull things off that I would never be able to!
Lindsay is easy to talk to and fun to be around. It is evident that Lindsay’s
faith is strong and she desires to live as the Spirit leads.
Angela
Dixon
Smarty
pants! This girl is very intelligent… ivy league intelligent! That’s right, she’s on my team. I am excited
to be challenged and learn from Angela. She has an analytic mind and a strong
faith, a killer combo! Angela is also very funny and easy to be around, I think
we will laugh a lot. Oh, and she can jump rope on her butt! Seriously!
Glenn
Pickens
Another
Georgian! (Our team is a GA powerhouse!) Glenn is an interesting one. He is
funny, has some killer dance moves, and is a bit of a germophobe. I can
appreciate some of the OCDness Glenn has but I am determined to loosen him up a
bit. I love that Glenn is always up for an adventure and knows where the best
adventures are in every country. I’m excited to see God move in Glenn’s life
this year; I think He has big plans!
Kayla
Griffin
I
had the privilege of meeting Kayla before the race since she stayed with me for
training camp. Kayla has quickly become one of my favorite people. She is
hilarious, passionately seeking God, and she gets up early with me to workout.
Her new goal is “to make Kim Butler proud,” this obviously aids in her being
one of my favorite people. Ha! Kayla was a cheerleader in high school and has
the BEST cheer I have ever heard! (I will video it for you sometime.) In all
seriousness, Kayla’s heart is hard after her Father and I’m excited to be a
part of this journey with her.

Many
Blessings,
Kim
