I can’t believe I have been here for almost
3 weeks and still haven’t posted this blog! One of the reasons is because our
schedule has changed a few times since we have been here. Regardless, I
absolutely love it here and know that when we leave in 9 days it is going to be
incredibly hard.
The Guest House we are staying at. Home for the month!
Our ministry here has been amazing! We are working with
Hospitals of Hope and several organizations in the community of Cochabamba from
orphanages to hospitals to schools. Here is what a typical day for me looks
like here in Bolivia:

6:00am – Wake up, get ready, have time with
Jesus

7:00am – Some days I workout in the
mornings (typically running around the hospital compound) other days I eat
breakfast and have to leave at 7:30am

7:30am – 9:00am – Leave the house to get on
the first truffee (typical mode of transportation here)

8:00am – 12:00pm – Ministry

       Monday and
Wednesday – Girls Home (an orphanage) where we play cards or other games with
the girls and help them with homework

       Thursday and
Saturday – Hospital – We go to the hospital in the city where we visit with the
kids. I typically spend most of my time with the kids who have been
malnourished

       Friday – School for
the Deaf – Here we go to class with the kids and learn more sign language
Classroom at the Deaf School

12:00pm – 2:30pm – Typically we eat lunch
and get on another truffee to head to our next ministry site

2:30pm – 4:30pm – Ministry

       Monday and
Wednesday – Burn Unit – We visit with the kids in the burn unit and pray with
them and sometimes their families

Samuel and I – Samuel went home last week!! Praise God!          Another little girl who is still in the hospital

       Thursday – School
for the Deaf – In the afternoons we play with the kids. They have a playground
with swings and the fastest slide in the world! The other day we had a rope and
one of the older kids made a rope swing out of it.

       Friday – School for
the Deaf (We spend all day here on Friday)

       Saturday – At
4:30pm there is a kid washing where we work with another ministry to bathe kids
and give them clean clothes. Between the hospital and that we spend time a the
café (where I am currently writing this blog.)

5:00pm – Most days this is the workout time

6:30pm – Dinner – We usually eat together
at the house

7:30pm – Free time – Sometimes internet,
sometimes reading, sometimes movie

9:00pm – Feedback with the team
Team BattleCry in our work attire!

10:00pm – We are typically in bed by this
time

Tuesdays are our off days and on Sunday we
hold a church service with some other teams from the squad at our house. It is
nice to have a church service in English!

I am falling in love with many of the kids
here and will be posting a blog about one of the little girls named Carla soon!
