1. I attended a truly international art school in Savannah, Georgia. The access to other cultures had a great influence and piqued my interest to learn more about cultural differences and similarities.

2. I have never been out of the US. I'm looking forward to new cultural knowledge and travel experiences that the WR will bring.

3. I believe all people are valuable and have something of value to contribute.

4. I am a computer art instructor and freelance artist.

5. I own a coupIe Apple computers but no smart phone. I view a smart phone as just another computer. Being "off work" for me means being away from a computer.

6. I love all things artistic: poetry/spoken word, dance, theatre, fine art (paint, sculpture, collage, etc), live music and commercial art (graphic design, web design, print design, motion graphics, broadcast design, etc).

7. I am developing my photography hobby into a more polished skill.

8. I had such a hard time developing this list, I asked my students for insight. Is that cheating? That's what they said, lol. Their comments reminded me of how well I take criticism.

9. I think its important to know the "what" and "why" behind the "how" so when circumstances change, they will be easier to adapt, understand, or accept.

10. Because of this, my students say I'm always in the "information overload" zone. I tend to over explain and want to understand beyond the surface.

11. My need to understand makes me very inquisitive. I ask lots of questions. I simply want to know. I have no plans to use that information against you, promise.

12. I am very observant. I think it comes from being raised by a visually impaired mother. As far back as I can remember, I've always described surroundings, people, their non-verbal actions, etc to my Mother. I never liked the idea of her being taken advantage of or unaware.

13. I want to go on a game show to win money. It will have to be a game of luck, though. I would leave knowledge based game shows owing money.

14. I have really good hearing. My students call it "supersonic" hearing.

15. I am constantly thinking. My brain engages in everything around me without any effort.

16. I am a good problem solver. My students have screwed up design software in ways I didn't know were possible.

17. Add my problem solving skills, supersonic hearing, constant thinking, and observant nature together…I am good at judge of character.

18. I've been called "calculating". I weight the risks of every action (big or small). It takes me a little while to make a firm decision.

19. My analytical nature makes joining the WR a frightening experience.

20. When it comes to "work hard and play hard", I go to the extreme, both ways. Those who work with me don't believe there's a single "fun" bone in my body.  Those who meet me in more relaxed settings, think I'm too goofy to ever be serious.

21. As a result, many new acquaintances later admit to being surprised they like me.

22. I am very competitive but not obsessed with winning, I give and expect 100% from team mates. If you didn't come to compete, get off the court…literally.

23. I've been eating less and exercising more to prepare for the WR. I'm trying not to be the starving weakling on our squad.

24. I also want to take rock climbing lessons, improve at swimming, and learn CPR.

25. I believe the WR will be life-changing and challenging but I consider myself to be a person who can adapt.

26. I don't complain a lot. I can get though most unpleasant and unsanitary conditions with a completely detached state of mind or a frown on my face.

27. I have never done any missionary work.

28. I have a difficult time asking people for money. I have lived my adult life doing without until God blessed me with better.

29. I figured most of my $15,500 would come from personal funds. Recently, my boss informed me my employment will be ending six weeks earlier than I planned.

30. I think God is teaching me a lesson in FAITH.

31. I recently learned delayed obedience is dis-obedience. I need to hit the pavement to spread the word about God's role in the WR.

32. I have to admit to not knowing the order of the books in the Bible. I'm studying.

33. I didn't think I would qualify for this trip because of my past experiences, limited biblical knowledge, and weak relationship with God.

34. My mother told me the correct pronunciation of my name while in graduate school. She says she was so tired of correcting others, that she began to introduce me by purposely mispronouncing my name. Its Key-ah-sha, basically like its spelled.

35. I am a big nerd. I really enjoy watching/reading translated Korean movies and tv shows.

36. I love super heros and rich men with expensive gadgets (Batman). Happily, my nerd-dom is not deep enough for me to debate how accurate today's movies are to the original comic book series (like my students and friends).

37. I prefer action and suspense movies over tear jerkers. Jason Statham is one of my favorite actors.

38. I don't watch "scary movies" aka slasher movies ("I know what you did last summer"…types), mass murder movies ("SAW"…types), or satanic movies. They don't sit right with my spirit.

39. I tend to give more to others and put myself on hold.

40. I have a "dry, below the radar" sense of humor. If you're not careful, it will blow past you.

41. I am NOT as funny as I think and funniER than I think. I get more unexpected laughs than intentional laughs.

42. I am equally content in a crowd as I am alone. Because I'm engage in constant thought, many mistake it as a "stand-off-ish" behavior.

43. Aside from being better than my current self, I have no idea of how my life will be after the WR.

44. My emotions are even keel. I don't experience really low periods or extreme highs. Many characterize that as "nonchalant". It just seems balanced to me.

45. I am emotional composed. Meaning, I respond well under stress and in emergencies.

46. My favorite shapes are squares and rectangles. My friends and relatives find this odd.

47. I am one of the older members of our squad.

48. My number one "love language" is "acts of service".

49. The Myers-Briggs test rates me as ESFJ…warm hearted, conscientious, and cooperative, want environmental harmony, likes to work with other to complete tasks accurately and on time, loyal, notice what others need in their day-to-day lives and try to provide it, want to be appreciated for who I am and what I contribute.

50. I am convinced. Currently, I am not where God wants me to be at this stage in my life. I believe the self-discovery I will get through the WR will bring me closer to self actualization.
