It has been a busy few months which also included my laptop getting stolen which really cramps my ability to update the blog.  I have taught at Mount Vernon Christian School for the past four years.  Those have been the best four years of my life… even though there have been many highs and lows.  June the 9th was the last day of school.  I couldn't help but think that this could be the last time that I see some of the students I have taught.  They have been such an encouragement to me, a source of laughs and fun, and hopefully people that I could show Christ's love to.  Despite the bittersweet feelings I know that someday God will give me the opportunity to see my brothers and sisters in Christ once again!  I also believe that it will be a joyous time of being able to talk about what God has been doing in their lives as well as mine.

One thing that I will most definitely look back on is the encouragement that many students and staff members gave me the last few days of school.  I felt Christ's love and I felt empowered also to love others on the path that God has taken me.   I journaled about the memorable musings of the last week of school which included the 8th grade trip, promotion, exams, and graduation.  Some of the highlights being little kids knocking you over as they try to hug you, students saying "have a good life" in the sweetest way possible, a kind note, some candy, or a nice note with a give card so you can buy your favorite drink.

I leave for Training camp on Friday Night!  Looking forward to meeting the squad and getting ready for the adventure!
