My team has finally settled in after two long days of travel to Ukraine.  We’re stationed in a small town of about 400 called Ivankiv.  The weather is very cool (jacket and long pants in the evening) here, much like Indiana in the fall.  Its very quiet but there’s always a house close by playing Ukranian techno music.  This place has much the feel of Amish country.  I actually now know what time the cows come home (if that makes any senes).

The people speak mostly Russian and Ukrainian however at the camp I’m staying, there are people who speak English.  Pine Branch Camp is two years old and is run by a couple from Texas.  The camp is setup up for orphans and at-risk children.  These are the kids we’ll be working with this month.

The past couple days here have been great!  Every week we have new kids coming in and out of the camp from all over Ukraine.  They come Monday and leave Saturday morning.  Saturday is our camp cleaning day and Sunday is mostly our Sabbath.  Our jobs consist mostly of cleaning, preparing meals for about 45-60 people and just loving on these kids that come through the camp doors.

I want to thank again all those that have made this mission happen.  I’m very excited to continue updating my travels and experiences around the world.  I’ve never felt more at peace and seen more grace from God than the past couple days here.  God has truly blessed me through all of you.  Thank You!!!

P.S.  HAPPY FATHER”S DAY DAD!!!!
