Well, I’m Kevin.

I was born in Washington to my Canuck parents Bruce and Jackilee Johnson. Pam and Jill are my older sisters, and all that  really means is that I have three awesome moms!

We moved to Colorado in 1999 and I’ve been here ever since! I currently live in Fort Collins and am in school and work in a welding shop.

I definitely feel compelled to go out from the states and see what He is doing all over the world. I wasn’t sure where I should go, but I knew I wanted to go when I was done with school.

I heard some people speak of  the WR on a ski trip–I guess a boarding trip for me–and looked it up as soon as I got home. My thought process was that this could be an awesome opportunity for me to get more exposure to different cultures and languages in hopes of stumbling upon a place I could go long term. The lifestyle also appeared to be one that encourages a greater dependency on Him, which is something I long for.

Some cool stuff about me?:

  • I was the first of my immediate and extended family to be born in the states (they’re all from the true north strong and free)
  • I have dual citizenship with Canada and the U.S.
  • I’ve done some pretty “cool” things with my hair: perm three times (Napoleon Dynamite anyone?), corn rows, bleached hair, and I shave my head once a year. I currently have high hopes of getting dreads sometime early next year.
  • I can’t think of
  • anything else that
  • is cool about me
  • Oh, and I may or may not have a pretty dry sense of humor
  • And sometimes when I’m frustrated I sound like Jerry Seinfeld
  • Alright that’s it

I feel Psalm 37:4 becoming a reality in my life, and I look forward to what is to come
