5:30 am wake up
shower and finish packing.

6:00 am drag all my
bags to the lobby

6:20 am cram into
the taxi to head to the ferry

7:00 am Ferry leaves
Zanzibar after quite a nice little vacation.

7:15 am get slightly
worried as they pass out “Sick Bags” to everyone on board.

7:30 am realize why
they passed them out

7:45 am see a
whale!  Sorry I didn’t get a
picture dad but it was right about then that I started to be sick for the rest
of the time.

8:00 am a worker
comes and gets all the Americans to go outside to be sick.  The air helped.

9:00 am after an
hour of being miserable we finally dock in Dar es Salaam.

9:20 am hop in a
taxi van to head to the airport.

9:50 am Make it to
the airport and find some fellow world racers and a good place to crash.

Hang out with people, while trying to get my land legs back.

Posted some of our Zanzibar pictures for mom to look at
during my long days of travel ahead.

Went to a small grocery shop where I found BLUEBERRY
NUTRIGRAIN BARS!!!  They only had
two but I bought them both and they were wonderful.  Tasted like America.

1:00 pm went through
security into the airport.

1:30 pm all checked
in at our gate.

Explore the little shops and hang out.

Find a place to mail my postcards so write a few and mail
them.

3:30 pm went through
gate security.

3:46 pm saw Ludacris
walk past us to the gate we were supposed to be boarding as well.

4:00 pm go through
the gate and realize that sadly Luda is not on our plane. Haha.

4:15 pm make it
through the masses to my seat which is a window seat.

4:45 pm take off for
Ethiopia.

Get dinner some sort of chicken I didn’t touch they had no
veg option.  Salad, bread and
butter, cheese and crackers, and a very strange mousse desert that I did not
eat.

7:15 pm Land in
Ethiopia in Addis Ababa

8:00 pm realize that
the people in Ethiopia are not very friendly.  At least not the people in the airport.  Also realize that headphones are
impossible to find.

Hang out and do nothing for several hours.

10:30 pm go through
security to our gate.

11:00 pm get in a
massive line because we need a little sticker on our boarding pass apparently.

11:20 pm told to
skip the sticker and just start boarding.
Lame.

My last few moments in Africa were fully of pushy Africans
who really thought cutting in line was going to make the plane go faster?  No.  Dumb.

11:45 pm in my
seat.  Aisle this time.  Oh, and 9 hour flight with no tvs.
Super fun.

Fall asleep only to be woken up because the girl in front of
me insisted she would only be able to sleep with her seat back.  I would never have woken someone up to
make myself more comfortable but whatever.

12:30 am when I woke
up we were in the air.  Bye Africa
I won’t miss you!

12:50 pm get served
dinner.  Had to wait awhile to eat
though because of super bumpy weather.

Only at the cheese and crackers and bread and butter, the
rest looked kinda sketch.

They played a movie overhead called soul surfer so I watched
that for awhile.

Drifted in and out of sleep but nothing worth much.

9:15 am landed in
New Delhi

9:35 am made it
through security and made camp.

Hung out for awhile what a surprise.

12:00 pm the team
grabbed a taxi minus jobie that we CRAMMED into and oh have I mentioned India
is HOT.  Like way worse than August
in South Carolina hot.

12:30 pm after an
excruciatingly hot taxi ride we made it to the train station.

Our train was late.

Moved our bags multiple times before finally being in the
right place.

4:30 pm boarded a
very hot train with small fans.  It
was supposed to have AC so I panicked for a few minutes thinking there was no
way I would survive it and then fell asleep.  We are in a sleeping car by the way.

6:00 pm wake up to
be beautifully cold in wonderful AC that did work we’d been driving for about
an hour but I hadn’t woken up.

Phil climbed down and we hung out for a while and they
brought dinner which I ate a tiny bit of but didn’t want to test my stomach’s
train riding skills.

9:02 pm experienced
my first squatty in a moving vehicle.

In the past 36 hours I have been in four different types of
transportation.

9:30 pm head to bed.

They told us it would be hard to know where to stop but they
would call when they knew we were the next train and that it should be at about
4:30 am

5:30 am wake up to
realize that I’m still on a train and hopefully others are as well.

They are.

9:30 am get off at
our stop and into a van that we actually fit in to head to our ministry site.

10:00 am get to our
new home for the next few months that thought its very hot looks amazing.

10:20 am get some
breakfast.  They serve hot milk
with their cornflakes which will take some getting used to.

10:45 am need to run
and grab shampoo and when going to get my walled realize it as well as my ipod
is gone.  Awesome.

So now I’m waiting for a decent hour so that I can call my
mom to cancel it and see if I should try to get one shipped emergency style to
me or not.  Not the best ending to
my long days of travel but at least I still have my passport.  That’s a very good thing.

So Ive made it though I don’t really know where I am and I
don’t think I’m supposed to post it anyways so it’s my last few weeks and the
next travel blog that you will read from me will be posted from the good ole US
of A!!

Can you believe it?

So here we go.
Month 11.  Bring it!
