2 Corinthians 3:18
“And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.”
In going on the World Race, I never thought much about what would come after. It was THE WORLD RACE. What my entire life had been mounding up to. Every calling I felt that the Lord had given me was snow-balled into this incredible trip. Reaching the lost, caring for orphans and widows, feeding the hungry, reaching unreached people, sharing the gospel, sharing my testimony, learning to live in community with other Christ-lovers, and just SERVING the least of these. Everything I was called to.
Getting home, I was open-handed very quickly to whatever it would be that the Lord would have me do next. I came back to America with a handful of good intended ideas of “what I would do next.” As I watched each one of those things shift out from my grasp and vanish, I had no response but to say, “Okay, Lord! If not these, then what?” I went into PSL (our squad debrief conference thingy in GA) with zero answers, and by day 2 decided I didn’t need answers. I just wanted Jesus. To worship Him and love His people, to seek His face. When I didn’t NEED answers from Him anymore, He showed up. He called me into the next glory- preparation for long term missions. A program called CGA through Adventures in Missions, where I will live in community and be trained to start a long term missions base in… HONDURAS!!!! <3
I was speechless at the Lord’s faithfulness to me. I worshipped Him in such fullness that week that my voice was completely GONE. Totally. Our bodies just can’t handle the goodness of God until we reach heaven!
It was then that it really hit me- He always takes us from Glory to Glory as we follow Him until we reach heaven!
He never looks at us and goes “Wow, that was great! Good season good season. Now I’m done with you. Next!”
NEVER!
He looks at us and says, “You think that was cool? Wait til you see what’s next! It’s going to blow your mind!”
So I am stepping into my next glory. Better than the World Race. Better than the awesome experiences I’ve had.
The goal in Honduras on my heart is to reach orphans and widows, and empower them to live out the passions placed on their hearts. I want to take back what the enemy [thinks he has] stolen in their lives. I want to empower them to chase their dreams and be warriors for the kingdom. Oh, and I want to feed them. I love feeding people :)))))))
In order for me to step into this next step, I have to raise about $4000 for all living and missions training expenses for the 4 month program. So. So, what is the next glory God is calling you to?
Ask in expectation!
Cause He is ALWAYS taking us from glory to glory.
That’s a faithfulness we can rest assured in.
