If we let Him, God wants a part in everything. Every little thing- He is involved in. Fighting for us, living in us.

ALIVE in us. Nothing can separate that new life.  He didn’t make us into a better version of our old self, He said we are completely NEW! We are NEW creations because of His death.

“I was lost with a broken heart

You picked me up now I’m SET APART

you are more than my words could say

forever FREE in unending grace!

you are, you are, you are my freedom!

you are alive in us

Your love has SET US FREE!

I will live that your will be done

I won’t stop til your kingdom come.”

Today, I ran to the octopus tree. Just one of those kind of days! As I ran there, I was looking forward to sitting in the branches of that big tree in the park and just praising the Lord for a while! He started telling me that I could have one song, but that then I would need to go to make it back in time for Bible Study.

I got there, happily ran over to a low hanging branch to start climbing up on and sat up in the tree. As I climbed up there I knew I had enough time to sit with the Lord and listen to one song, so I turned on Pandora to Hillsong “Young and Free” channel (which I actually don’t remember ever adding!). The song that came on is called Alive- SO DEEPLY GOOD! My heart pounded out of my chest with passion for worshipping God through the words in this song!

Then the thunder started rolling as the sky changed to “I’m about to tornado” weather. I was like “NO LORD! I want to soak this in with you forever! Forever just sit here with you and remember and praise you for all that you did in rescuing me!”

“Kerry, hold all things loosely, because I hold you tightly. Go.”

“AHHHH fine okay okay.”

So I started making my way down the tree from where I was- the end of a severed big branch. And God showed me that I was like an apple being let go from that tree I was sitting in! Like He’s been showing me this past week, apple trees have to hold their apples loosely and know when it is time to let those fruits fall- so that it can produce more fruit! I couldn’t just stay there, I had to let go and fall on the ground like an apple does at it’s proper time; that way it’s seeds can hit the ground, seep into the soil, and multiply! When God showed me this… I was like ‘just call me Little Miss Apple Kerry’! I rolled down that tree and plopped onto the ground laughing with joy!

“Spread my seeds Lord, I’m plopped open on the ground! I let go and fell when you said to!”

I started the run home and then, just because God is hilarious, it starts sprinkling! And you know what God said to me!? He was like “I’m going to water the good seed now!!”

And I was like “AHH! Not yet God! HAHA hold the watering until I get into the warm soil- my house!”

Me and God just laughed and joked the whole run home!

“I’m going to water you, Kerry!”

“God, Wait!! I love this, but don’t drench me! I’m almost home! Let me get in the ground before you water!”

Then it got really windy, and God was showing me how dandelions {LOVE THEM} are blown by the wind to multiply! He was like “Okay, Kerry. You’re a dandelion. And I will blow my spirit on you so that your seeds will spread across the land.”

I came home to a front yard full of dandelions…

so… I skipped around in them, blowing them all away! “Multiply Go! Spread your seeds little dandelions!”

There was one left. A little bit away from the others. As I ran over to blow it away, I felt the Lord saying to stop. To leave that one.

“Sometimes, you have to leave things. Leave it planted in the ground. I will blow it’s seeds across the land when it’s the right time. It can multiply by staying right there.”

So then after Bible Study, I was cleaning up the kitchen from making a bit of a mess trying to make cake balls earlier today. Baking is NOT a gifting of mine. At all. After doing all of my dishes, there was one big pan left that wasn’t mine and I left it at first. But then I felt the Lord really pulling at me- “Why not just love and serve?”

Okay, you got me! Motive uncovered. I want to love selflessly even in the small things!

So as I started to move it… it slipped and WATER splashed all over me!! Haha!

“My little seed, you made it to the soil! Watered!”

Psalm 1:1-3

“Blessed is the man [whose] delight is in the law of the Lord, and on his law he meditates day and night. He is like a TREE, planted by streams of water that yields its fruit in its season and its leaf does not wither. In all that he does, he prospers.”
