This week has been a interesting week for me. Not only was I preparing for a message for Sunday, but I was also working like crazy at my job. I was especially trying to take time to listen to the voice of God.
I woke up Tuesday morning and I heard the Lord say, “get up, take a walk and hear the sound.” I had no clue what God was telling me. I know one thing for certain that when I hear Him I must be obedient.
As I started to get ready, my sister (Rebekah) was way ahead of me and ready to take our dog on a walk. We argued for a bit because I really wanted to walk alone. I soon realized my efforts in persuading my sister was ineffective, so I gave up.
10 minutes later we got a phone call saying Rebekah was in accident. I just assumed she fell on the ice. However, Rebekah was hit by a car. My dad and I arrived on the scene and there was blood everywhere. It looked like a scene from CSI. Rebekah was conscious and well aware of her surroundings, but in miserable pain. The ambulance rushed her to the hospital where she was surrounded by nurses and doctors. They began to explain to get us prepared that more than likely Rebekah may have internal injuries and fractures.
The only thing I could think of doing was to pray. I prayed and I prayed and PRAYED!
Within the hour the doctor came in and said, “I cannot believe it, but your daughter is perfectly fine. She is able to go home with no complications. She will be sore for the next month or so because of soft tissue damage. Rebekah someone must have watched over you because you should have been severely injured.”
Do you know that the Lord has favor on you because you are his son/daughter?
If God is for us, who will stand against us?
The beloved of the Lord shall dwell in safety by Him: and the Lord shall cover him all the day long. Deut 33:12
The Lord is my light and my salvation;
whom shall I fear?
The Lord is the strength of my life;
of whom shall I be afraid?
Psalm 27:1
I have set the Lord always before me;
because He is at my right hand,
I shall not be moved.
Psalm 16:8
Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship
or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? As it is
written: “For your sake we face death all day long; we are considered as
sheep to be slaughtered.” No, in all these things we are more than
conquerors through him who loved us.
For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor
demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither
height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to
separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Romans 8:35-39
You are God’s MIRACLE!
