YWAM 50th Jubilee started it’s kickoff on Sunday. There  was over 40 nations involved and represented and over 700 people came from far and wide to celebrate this special event. I was amazed at the beauty of the Lord’s people. I particularly fell in love with the Pacific Islanders. I love their joy and passion for the Lord Jesus Christ. On Saturday while staying at Faith Bible College some of the Islanders were at the campus to eat lunch and eventually leave to stay in the Mari village. Casondra my teammate and I instantly knew we needed to connect and get to know some of them . We started to speak with one of the girls named gigi. We talked for about 20 minutes. Then Casondra and I went into the chapel where I began to play the piano and the two of us sang. Then another girl came up to us who spoke limited English but it was amazing how I could still understand her. Soon a whole bunch of Islanders came over and it was great meeting each and everyone of them. We began to worship with one another and all took turns playing the piano. The whole time I was thinking this is what heaven is going to be like. When all nations will lift up their voices together and praise the Lord. It didn’t matter that I was white and they were black or that they speak French and I speak English. All that mattered was that we came together to worship the one true God.

Later, I was in the large prayer room to write some blogs when my now friend Patick came in. Patick is from Vanuatu but is finishing his DTS in Caledonia and is a leader with YWAM. After his program is finished he would like to go to bible school. Patick is a man who has a heart for the Kingdom of God and I am proud to have gotten to know him over the past few days. It always amazes me how God allows someone to come into your life. Honestly Patick was one of those people for me. He has encouraged me with his passion and willingness to go wherever God wants him to go. While in the prayer room we began to talk about the Lord and the need for evangelists across the nations. Also, we had some fun moments when I compared my country Canada to his island Vanuatu. Please pray for Patick he has a heart for the nations and he has some upcoming decisions to make soon. Please pray for endurance and strength as he seeks the Lord for wisdom .

God is moving across the Pacific Islands and you cannot miss it. The joy of the Lord that is written across their faces is unstoppable and immovable because they are passionate people carrying the love of God their hands. This week they taught me how to let go in worship. To dance and sing at the top of my lungs,  to pray with vigor knowing the Lord will hear my cry, to live each day with passion for the Lord Jesus. Please pray for the Pacific Islanders because there is a army of passionate people ready to go out and advance for the Kingdom of God.
