Today I got the chance to go visit the S21 museum which used to be a sort of concentration camp for Cambodian people back in the 1970’s.  A government group called the “Khmer Rouge” was responsible for kidnapping, torturing and killing approximately 20,000 of their own people in this facility. Needless to say, this wasn’t a joyful experience, but it gave me a good sense of what the Cambodian people have been through in their very recent past.

These were a few men who, I would imagine, were victims of the long war in Cambodia and their injuries were probably a result of the many landmines that covered the entire Vietnam/Cambodia border. Each morning I run at the nearby Olympic stadium, at which I also see many men who have lost legs to landmines, but are still running with prosthetic legs.
