Hi Everyone! Sorry it has been a while…my life has been a whirlwind..and that is an understatement to say the least…but in a really really awesome way! So, I have had some of my supporters write me asking me to inform them on what a day in my life looks like on the world race and to see the faces and places of where I am at. We are in Thailand now; but I am going to back track a tiny bit and show you the faces and places of Cambodia which is where we spent last month. I know, I know I am a little behind but better later then never right 🙂
Good News International Education School
This is the church/School we would work at every day
Our ministry last month was working with a church/school called Good News International Education School located in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. We would go every morning and lead a bible study with some of the church members, students, and staff. It was a time in the morning when we would spend time in fellowship and was one of my favorite parts of the entire day.
The lady in black and man and white

was amazing you could see God in their smiles.

After Bible study we would break up into two groups one group would go help with the elementary aged students and would teach them english. . The other group would help teach english to older students and have conversations with them so they could practice their english.

In the afternoon was “cell groups” which meant we would go to different houses around the community and lead bible study discussion in their home and then would pray over any needs that people in the group had. We prayed for many women who were heart broken, many children who were infected with HIV, families who were struggling to provide for their children, widows, and toilets. Yes, you heard right we were asked that a man recieve a tiolet, which to us seems strange and funny, but for him it was a genuine prayer request. This time of day was the most eye opening for me and most humbling time for me.

lilly pads. (yes I almost fell getting out)
After cell groups we would each teach an english class in the evening. I was placed with a class of about 20 students ranging from 7-12 or so. They were a hand full but I loved every minute of my time with them. I don’t know how many times I played hang man with them so they would learn to spell words and pronounce words. Each of the children were very eager to learn and eager to be in the class room.

start with the letter “B” on the board.
Our days where busy we started at around 8 a.m. and would arrive home at the end of the day around 7 p.m. God gave us energy that we know came from him a lone. Our time in Cambodia was amazing and God worked in huge ways. So that is one month in the day and life of a World racer. 🙂
