I decided to do a more light hearted blog because..well just because :). A lot of my supporters have been asking what my daily life looks like while I am on the mission field here in Byron Bay Australia, so I thought I would share with you some of my favorite things here and kind of what my days look like!

1. We are staying at a church called “Eastgate Church” which has been a huge blessing after the flood of 2010!

2. Every morning we hitch hike into town because it is a 45 min walk into town ( we meet the most interesting people this way) yesterday I was told I should worship myself hummmmm.

3. We do our ministry mainly on the Beach! It has been a huge step of faith for me to just walk up to people and share my faith, but a huge growing experience for me. I am falling in love more and more each day with the people in Byron Bay

4. To get internet we go to “Why not” and pay 6 dollars for a drink ( things are expensive here)

5. My favorite place to do ministry is at Rail Way park: We spent the night with the homeless last wed. and we have a free bbq every Friday for the homeless and the back packers that come through .

6. Hubba Bubba Strawberry and Grape gum have been my saving grace this month

7. I am in love w/ N squad ( the other group that is also on the race)

8. We buy our groceries at LGA ( we have moved up a little since moving into the church and we don’t just live off peanut butter anymore)

9. We have beach volleyball tournaments every Tues. and Thurs. (my team each time has lost)

10. We try once a week to have community time and dinner w/ both squads

11. At night we entertain ourselves by playing random games and dancing: we attempt human jenga ( good idea at the time bad idea afterwards), throwing a ball into a vase, singing musicals

12. I am growing to love the random rain that comes from the middle of nowhere

13. Candy and chips have become a staple in my diet blah ha ha

14. I have embraced not being able to shower daily ( as of right now i am completly caked in sand, but oh well its the world race)

15. The high light of my night is snuggling into my sleeping bag that is covered in ants and who knows what other buys 🙂

16. I enjoy falling asleep with my favorite people in the world next to me ( Rick’s, Hope, and Michelle) and them being the first people I see in the morning!
