Hi guys! Welcome to my first blog! Here’s a little bit about me:
I grew up in small town Indiana where no one’s a stranger and corn fields and tractors are everywhere
It’s also a lake town and I love anything that has to do with water: swimming, tubing, waterskiing, you name it, I’m in!
This is my mom and I on the lake – she’s the one who taught me to ski

I also grew up traveling and road tripping a lot – both of which I love!
This is my dad and I on a recent road trip out west
I’m an only child, but my extended family is amazing and I love them a lot
And some oldies 🙂
This crew isn’t blood, but they’re family too – we camp together twice a year
I graduated from Rhodes College (Memphis, TN) in May 2015 with a degree in Psychology
College Highlights: doing the single ladies dance with my research group in lieu of a paper, getting a ride back to campus in a police car, not once but twice (disclaimer: no laws were broken), and my friends holding an Irish wake from my pet beta fish when he died
RIP Rascal
I love being silly and using laughing as an abs workout
I think otters are my spirit animal
I love talking politics and religion – even though they’re taboo
I love singing in the shower, writing songs on my guitar, playing classical piano, and all things music
I think euchre, poker, and billiards are the world’s greatest games
I hate being alone and I’m a little scared of the dark
I love deep conversations that continue late into the night
And most of all I love spending time with my friends and family
Here are just a few more pictures of the people that mean so much to me:

I’m a little scared to leave all these wonderful people behind, but I am truly humbled to be called to the World Race and excited for all the adventures and challenges it will hold.
