Hello my name is Kelvin Rodriguez I’m currently 22 years old. I’m a college student at Ventura. I’m currently in my second year of school while undecided in my major. School isn’t where I necessarily want to be at the moment but the Lord has a purpose for me to be their. I love playing basketball as well but haven’t had the chance to really play. Basketball is a passion that use to take the spot of God but no longer rules over my life.
I’m very friendly and can tend to get very loud. I love starting conversations with strangers and get along with everybody. I guess you can say I’m very silly and enjoy making people laugh!! I enjoy being around a big crowd of people and enjoy being in a lot of conversation. I’m also a very serious person when it comes to the things of the Lord.
I grew up in a Christian church but I parted my ways when I was around 14 years old. I use to love church but being forced to go drew me further away from the Lord. Life hasn’t always been the easiest but I’m thankful for all that I have been through. The Lord has been so faithful through my whole life but has never forsake me. I’ve been suspended, expelled, been to juvenile hall, house arrest, jail, and probation. I’ve smoked weed, drank, done coke, and various pills.
My life changing moment is when I went to Jail. Jail was literally the best thing ever. It was hard at first but the Lord served a purpose through it all. I spent 6 month in jail or should I say vacation to get my head on straight. During that time I got a glimpse of the Lord at his fullest. I’ve experienced the love, joy, peace, patient, and goodness of the Lord. I’ve got to read the word and see the goodness of spending time with the Lord. I knew what it was to walk in the Spirit first hand.
I’m currently in the second year of serving the Lord. This last year has been amazing with many dark roads. Oh the Lord is so good and faithful. I can say I’m in love with the Lord and would die preaching his word. This year around I’m committed to be a doer of the Word. I long to see the glory of the Lord to be manifested in the fullest!! I want to see miracles, repentance, joy, and love. I want to take hope to the unknown people of the world.
I’m excited for the world race. I’m thankful to be traveling to the nations and fulfilling the great commission!!!
