Things have been really good with the Llamosa family. I have really developed an awesome relationship with them and have been able to share a lot with them. About two weeks ago i was able to share my testimony with them and tell them about my faith in Jesus Christ and ask them about their faith. Although things may be lost in translation, I believe they know God. We have gotten to speak about their faith and the mother ssays she feels God’s presence. I have had two Bible studies with them going over first the Beattitudes and then the Lord’s Prayer. It was cool to hear how the Father said that the Lord’s prayer is more of a model to pray than something to repeat. The family is Catholic but I don’t know how often they go to church. They don’t have a car (most people in Peru don’t have cars) so it may be hard for them to get there.

One of the fun things that I have done with the family is go to the pool. I took them to the pool this Tuesday and we all had a lot of fun! I really wanted to bring them somewhere where the kids can just have a good time and be kids. The father was the only one who knew how to swim because he had worked on a boat, and he was able to teach the rest of his family how to swim.

Baby Victor really liked the water!

They have puppies!

One night we had worship at Daisy’s house and this picture was taken there.

As I write this we are finishing up our ministry in Chinca, Tambo De Mora, and Los Jardines. We are saying goodbye and it is pretty hard to tell them that we will never be back. I do have Mateo’s phone number, but it is still hard none the less. I have some of these pictures developed for them to give them and we will talk this afternoon.

I am also sick with an upset stomach and had a fever and headache last night which was the sickest I have been since I have been on the trip. I am somewhat better today, but am not going to eat very much. Last Sunday Nate gave a message on loving God and having a good attitude in the good times and the hard. We don’t have many luxuries down here and at times things can be boring with down time and sickness, but we press through.

From here we will be debriefing for a few days and then going to Iquitos where we will be in the Amazon. Iquitos is at the headwaters of the Amazon and we will be going down it for two weeks to a smaller town to minister. It is going to be hot, humid, and there are going to be terrible mosquitos so please pray for me to get through that all.
