Day 1

Hello from the field! I am taking a break this morning to tell you how my trip to Lima was. Yesterday, three friends West Palm Beach drove me down to the Ft Lauderdale airport where our Squad was meeting. It was so great when I got to the airport to see everyone. Most of the team hadn’t seen each other for three months so it was really exciting to catch up with everyone for a bit as we waited for everyone to show up. with roughly 30 people traveling in our group there was so many backpacks that our stuff collectively takes up a lot of area. Most of the time seating is limited so people usually sit on the floor and whatever chairs are available.

Around 12 we all went through and got our tickets and everything. Our flight was supposed to leave around 4:40, but didn’t leave until after six. The flight was about five and a half hours and we got into Lima safe and sound about midnight. We were greeted by a missionary who is our contact while we are here. He is an older man probably about 50 and has an authoritative presence and voice. It will be cool to work under his leadership while we are here.

God is definetly here in our time and I can’t wait to see what awesome things happen. I love you all and will keep you up to date on what I am doing. You can also email me if you would like.
