Out of Africa… On to Eastern Europe!

Starting in Romania!

This month we will be working with Gypsy Agape alongside Team Judah (Brad,
Erika, Justine, Jordan McG, and Jamie)!

Here is some of the info we were given:

‘Gypsy Agape was started by John Fracker, an American
missionary who came to work in Viile Tecii. The gypsy people are an unusual
demographic. Still largely discriminated against today they maintain a way of
life that can seem archaic and difficult. Many of the houses in Viile Tecii are
in disrepair and don’t have running water. Gypsy Agape’s vision is to reach the
gypsy people in any way possible, to truly make disciples and not converts.
Ministry generally looks like organizing group activities like women’s and
men’s Bible studies, a young married’s group, children’s programs, etc.
Previous groups of Racers have held evening bonfires where the entire community
would come after a hard day’s work and relax, worship and listen to the Gospel.’

We are very excited  for this month and hope to update you with
lots of great stories of our time here.
