From every ending a new
beginning.
After many months of preparation
the beginning is here! For the last week we have been in Launch training mode
in Antigua, Guatemala. Launch has been a time
to come together as the October 2009 L Squad before we disperse tomorrow to various cities around Guatemala. The
whole squad has been staying at Hostel Mochilero and we have been working out
of the YWAM de Guatemala Coffee House and the adjoining church, Vida y Fe.
This week we were able to explore
the city, attend a few meetings, and spend the nights worshiping, praying, and
speaking life into one another. Being able to encourage, exhort, and comfort
each other while on the mission field will be of most importance and learning how
to do this well is something we spent a lot of time developing. The World Race leadership
wants our teams to operate in the best way possible and that involves having
healthy communication practices. Thus, we were able to learn the protocol for
our feedback meetings, which will take place at the end of every day. In order
to refine one another to become more like Christ we are pressed to encourage
the great things we see in one another as well as use constructive criticism
and suggestions with each other so we will be able to evaluate
ourselves daily and see how we can improve our relationships with Christ, our team,
and the people we our ministering to.
