Woot Woot!
I haven’t finished my first week here yet, but I have such a heart for India already. It is so different from America. Very different, especially as a woman. I must be constantly aware of my actions, because a lot of what I do naturally is totes inappropes here.
Talking loudly makes you appear “loose”
Left hand is dirty…..I am left handed
LEGS COVERED, SHOULDERS COVERED, showing curves is a big NO NO.

Smiling is flirting…Lord help me
One-on-one conversations with opposite sex are a no no.
Also no hugging or physical contact.
Did I mention I am a big fan of the physical touch? Hugging and smiling are my love language ya’all?
Obviously I have a few things to be aware of this month. It is more than worth it though. We are working with a ministry called Covenant Worship Center, and they have worship schools for men throughout the year where they prepare the men to lead worship in their local areas. I am in a house of dudes. Dudes I can’t necessarily communicate with, but whose hearts for God are so evident it just pours out of them in their worship. This very moment they are doing a 12hr worship session in the basement and the music is flowing all throughout the house. God’s presence hits you like a brick wall as soon as you walk into the room. It is so refreshing in a land where they have over 3 million gods our true Father’s strength remains. THREE million you guys. The warfare is rough here, but our God is bigger.
So what am I doing if I am in a house of dudes I may or may not be able to communicate with? My team and I are doing house visits where we are having worship, sharing our testimonies, and preaching. Last night the God even gave us the opportunity to pray physical and spiritual healing and blessings over a whole family.
I am also super excited to possibly help begin the ministry’s a women’s worship band they are in the process of beginning (heart leaps for joy). This is such a great month for me. Music everywhere, colorful outfits, and God is giving me the opportunity to use my musical and spiritual gifts in big ways.
